Great place to stop anytime you are near. High quality sandwiches at a fair price. I make it a point to stop by when entering or leaving town from California. Each time I ordered something different and each time I was content. Don't let the long line deter you. They have the system down to a science.

Finally got a chance to stop by the new location. The kids bakery is my personal golden standard for what a GOOD sandwich should taste like. My personal favorite has always been the Trump or now called the Trump card. It tasted as good as I remember, and they were kind enough to split the sandwich as I was sharing that day. My only disappointment was the speed of service. I recall walking into their previous location with a crazy line that looked like it would take forever, but in actuality, it was so fast I barely had time to read their menu. This time, however, was much slower as they now take your order at the register before making your sandwich. Not a horrible wait time, but not the glorious days I remember. Probably a change in order due to their expanded menu which now includes numerous Hot items. All in all this new space has tons of parking and lots of indoor seating as well as outdoor. If you have a pet, they have their own pet park for your furry friends and immaculately manicured landscaping. It felt more like a museum park than a sandwich shop. The bathrooms were just as clean however I noticed most of the seating featured tables that were dirty from previous diners covered in crumbs and other sandwich leftovers. Easily remedied by a napkin or two but less than appetizing to sit down at a mustard smeared table. Needless to say, we will still come back and still recommend this to everyone! Next time we will take time to get something at the bakery for sure!

This is new location. Pastrami is still delicious. Excited for outdoor seating and even dog park. Delicious sandwiches. Even more variety and BBQ on Wednesdays. Now serving adult beverages. The on tap cider is dangerously delicious.

Stop by this morning, crazy amazing sandwiches. A Must try! The inside was very clean and cute. Was helped right away and ordering went smoothly.

Food - 4.6 service - 4 ambiance - 4 for what it is. This is a sandwich shop and dessert place in one. Great for a group. The restaurant is an order at the cashier and sit place. Informal setting, good for a quick bite. We went right before hitting Indian wells tennis tournament. Maybe a little pricey but it's still half of what you would pay at the tourney and you get a lot. I shared the chipotle chicken sandwich with my daughter and got a side of onion rings. For what it is - basically a bigger and better chikfila sandwich- it is very delicious. The service was slow given there were hardly any other customers though and they forgot my sauces I requested.

Great stop along the way in Indio. We had breakfast. The place is clean, great service. Clean bathrooms thanks for that. This is a worthy place to stop as you travel on I10.

Delicious and huge sandwiches! Great service and friendly staff. The place is clean with lots of seating. They also have a pretty cool dog park area in their parking lot. If I had any suggestions it would be to have more vegan/vegetarian options (I was traveling with 2 vegans) and maybe a "build your own" option. Other than that the place was awesome...highly recommend!!

I was referred to this place by a friend and also looked here on yelp.. Was out in the area for a concert and four of us stopped in here. There is a lot of hype for this place, and you feel it walking into and in the restaurant. The bakery is pretty good looking when you walk in.. I didn't order any, but it did look good. I ordered the OG Pastrami with mac and cheese bites.. The mac and cheese bites where better than the sandwich.. The sandwich was ok.. The flies were a bit annoying as we were eating.. The guy at the register wasn't very helpful when asking questions about the sandwiches.. Two of the people we were with ordered a chicken sandwich that was on a special and was on a sign next to the register. It took about 10 minutes after two of us got our pastrami sandwiches.. I am sorry, 4 out of 5 for me..

With over 4.6k reviews and a 4.6 overall rating, TKB Bakery & Deli definitely stood out when searching Yelp for restaurants to eat at in Indio. After taking a closer look, we also learned that this place earned the #1 spot on Yelp's best restaurants list in 2018. This was all I needed to hear. TKB Bakery & Deli was officially going to be our lunch destination. Conveniently located close to the freeway, this is the type of restaurant where you order and pay at the front, take a number, and wait for your food to be delivered to your table. Seating is first come, first served. To eat, I ordered the Iron Man sandwich ($15.99) without mayo and without mustard. I did mention Yelp to get a free cookie. Overall, I thought the sandwich was good. Nothing too out of the ordinary, but I did enjoy the Parmesan roll, and the hot pastrami was delicious. The space itself is pretty cool, and they do serve beer, which is a nice. The lines here can get a little long, but it seemed to move fairly quick. If you're in the area, I'd definitely recommend checking this place out.
